MANIFESTO
Ceci n'est pas London is a youth collective brought together by a passion for photography, urban exploration and non-institutional visual education.
We share a love for London and wish to challenge the commodification of its public spaces and the visual stereotypes associated with it.
We encourage creative, constructive ways of immersing ourselves in London's local communities, based on cooperating instead of consuming.
We unlock free opportunities for extra-academic learning through library and exhibition visits, as well as other cultural activities.
We believe in peer-to-peer learning, creating the space for people to gather, make and discuss work together.
We support our members in the development of their artistic practice, providing advice and giving access to creative networks in London.
Our work takes the form of self-publishing, exhibitions, screenings, panels, events and other creative forms.
We are independent and refuse funding from any commercial interests.
We will widen access to creative culture and create a record of London that reflects the people and communities who make it.
